RBBC Changing the face of Fantacy Football
Category: Sports

I'm gong to take an unpopular opinion here and take the side of most NFL coaches on the RBBC issue.  Obviously RB is to maost voulnerable position in the NFL and there is no such thing as a RB that plays all year.  That being said, it makes sense to spread carries out over the course of the game and limit the punishment that each RB gets over the course of the season.

Most people see this as the downfall of the RB position in fantasy football.  I disagree.  It simply means that the value of the every down backs increases as the concept of the every down back dimishes and the value of the "hot back" increases.  What does this mean?

Well, in a standard 12 team league it means that every RB, back up RB and even third stringers are in play.  The league winner will be the guy who most closely follows the hot backs around the league because carries will vary from week to week and the winner will be the guy who has the "primary back of the moment" on his squad.

The leson here is to not reject he RBBC, but embarde it and watch the stats and the news closely because things change quickly in the NFl, especially at RB!
